Explore the magic of the Moroccan desert and the secrets jealously guarded by the locals. This eight-day circuit transports you from the Atlas peaks to the golden dunes of the Sahara, where you will encounter the legendary hospitality of the Berber people and ancient architecture that feels suspended in time.
🕌 Day 1: Marrakech, the Pearl of the South
Your journey begins with an immersion into the imperial history of the “Ochre City.”
The Koutoubia Minaret: A true spiritual lighthouse and the iconic symbol of the city.
The Saadian Tombs: A 16th-century masterpiece that remained hidden for centuries.
The Bahia Palace: An aristocratic residence with 166 rooms, testifying to the luxury of the Vizier era.
Jemaa El Fna Square: End the day in the vibrant bustle of the souks and storytellers on this famous UNESCO-listed square.
⛰️ Day 2: From Atlas Peaks to the Valley of Roses
Cross the High Atlas via the Tizi n’Tichka pass (2,260 m).
Ouarzazate: Visit the Taourirt Kasbah, the former residence of the Lords of the Atlas.
Skoura & The Valley of Roses: Travel through palm groves and fragrant rose fields to the spectacular Dades Gorges, where rock formations create a supernatural backdrop.
🏺 Day 3: Todra Gorges and the Mysteries of Tamegroute
After exploring the 100-meter-high walls of the Todra Gorges, we descend toward the Draa Valley.
Tamegroute: Visit the famous Naciri underground library (home to 4,000 ancient manuscripts) and the green pottery workshops.
Toward the Sahara: Spend the night at Erg Lihoudi (the “Dunes of the Jew”) for your first introduction to the vast sandy expanse.
🐫 Day 4: Total Immersion at Erg Chegaga
A day dedicated to the “real” desert.
M’Hamid El Ghizlane: The last village before the ocean of sand.
Erg Chegaga: By 4×4, we set off to conquer the highest dunes in Morocco. Climb a ridge to admire the sunset over the golden waves. Enjoy a magical night in a bivouac under the stars.
🦅 Day 5: Lake Iriqui and National Park
Cross the Iriqui National Park, a sanctuary for Saharan wildlife (gazelles, fennec foxes).
Iriqui Dry Lake: A vast lunar plateau that was once home to crocodiles.
The Spirit of the Dakar: Follow the legendary tracks of the Paris-Dakar Rally through the stone desert dotted with acacia trees until you reach Foum Zguid.
🏰 Day 6: Aït Ben Haddou and Telouet
Head back north to explore the earthen architecture.
Ksar of Aït Ben Haddou: This setting for cult films (Gladiator, Game of Thrones) is the finest example of a fortified southern village.
Kasbah of Telouet: Hidden in the mountains, this kasbah of stone and refined mosaics (Zellij) is an overlooked jewel.

A radical change of scenery for a day of refreshing nature.
